PEER REVIEW POLICY

International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (IJHSS) is committed to ensuring the publication of high-quality, original, and ethically sound research through a fair, transparent, and rigorous peer review process. Every manuscript submitted to the journal is evaluated solely on its academic merit, originality, methodological quality, relevance to the journal's scope, and contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the humanities and social sciences.

Double-Blind Peer Review

International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (IJHSS) follows a Double-Blind Peer Review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. This approach helps maintain impartiality, minimizes bias, and ensures an objective evaluation of every submitted manuscript.

Initial Editorial Assessment

Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial evaluation by the Editorial Office to determine its suitability for the journal. During this stage, the manuscript is assessed for compliance with the journal's scope, formatting requirements, originality, ethical standards, and overall academic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for revision or declined before external review.

Reviewer Evaluation

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial screening are assigned to independent experts with relevant subject expertise. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:

  • Originality and significance of the research.
  • Relevance to the journal's scope.
  • Research methodology and scientific rigor.
  • Clarity, organization, and quality of presentation.
  • Validity of results and conclusions.
  • Accuracy and completeness of references and citations.

Based on their evaluation, reviewers may recommend acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection of the manuscript.

Editorial Decision

The final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or the Editorial Board after carefully considering the reviewers' recommendations. Authors are informed of the editorial decision and, where applicable, are provided with reviewers' comments to assist them in improving their manuscript.

Confidentiality and Ethical Standards

All manuscripts submitted to International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (IJHSS) are treated as confidential documents. Editors and reviewers are expected to maintain strict confidentiality and must not disclose, reproduce, or use any unpublished material for personal or professional advantage. Reviewers are also required to declare any potential conflicts of interest and decline review assignments where impartiality cannot be maintained.

International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (IJHSS) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing by ensuring that every published article has undergone a thorough, objective, and ethical peer review process. The journal values fairness, transparency, academic integrity, and constructive feedback, enabling authors to enhance the quality and impact of their research while contributing to the global advancement of knowledge.
