PLAGIARISM POLICY

International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (IJHSS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and ethical publishing. The journal has a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, and other forms of research misconduct. Authors are expected to submit only original manuscripts that have not been published previously or are under consideration by any other journal.

Originality of Manuscripts

All manuscripts submitted to International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (IJHSS) must represent the authors' original work. Proper acknowledgment and citation must be provided for all sources, including published literature, unpublished materials, datasets, figures, tables, and ideas derived from the work of others.

Plagiarism Screening

Every manuscript is subjected to plagiarism screening using reliable plagiarism detection software before entering the peer review process. The editorial team carefully evaluates similarity reports to distinguish legitimate citations and references from unacceptable textual overlap.

Acceptable Similarity

Authors are expected to ensure that the overall similarity index remains within acceptable academic limits. High similarity scores, excessive verbatim copying, or unattributed content may result in immediate rejection or a request for substantial revision prior to peer review.

Forms of Unethical Practice

The journal considers the following practices to be unethical and unacceptable:

  • Direct plagiarism or copying text without proper attribution.
  • Self-plagiarism or redundant publication of previously published work.
  • Duplicate or simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals.
  • Improper paraphrasing or inadequate citation of original sources.
  • Fabrication or falsification of research data, images, or results.
  • Unauthorized use of copyrighted material without permission.

Editorial Action

If plagiarism or other unethical practices are identified at any stage of the publication process, the Editorial Board reserves the right to reject the manuscript, request corrections, withdraw an accepted article, or retract a published paper. Depending on the severity of the violation, the journal may also notify the authors' affiliated institution or funding agency and impose restrictions on future submissions.

Authors are solely responsible for ensuring the originality and authenticity of their work before submission.
